NEW YORK — Following a review, the U.S. Treasury department has tapped 10 units of WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam to handle a campaign introducing the redesign of the U.S. dollar, which is to be rolled out next year, WPP said.

P.R. firm Burson-Marsteller, New York, will lead the five-year, $55 million global effort. The shop, along with advertising branch Marsteller Advertising/Interactive, will be responsible for advertising, media relations, Web sites, retailer outreach, and program design, among other facets of the overall campaign.
