WASHINGTON — Media Strategies and Research, a Denver-based political ad buyer, has been awarded media buying duties for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the client confirmed.

The win followed a review of several undisclosed shops, sources said. The DCCC and the National Republican Congressional Committee, both based in Washington, raise money for the election of U.S. House candidates. The DCCC budget is an estimated $50 million.

Sources said Media Strategies will do both national and spot-market buys, and may subcontract to local media services to bolster Democratic efforts in races at the local level.
