Integrated Marketing Solutions, the agency that handled marketing endorsements for Sammy Sosa during his 1998 home run drive, has moved on to another sport, creating the World Dodgeball Association.

The WDA intends to take the schoolyard game to colleges in September.

Two teams of seven will square off on a divided court using only one ball, which is designed to make the sport more strategic than those unfair standoffs that pitted bullies against nerds, said Mark Leonard, WDA’s commissioner and president of the Chicago shop.

IMS spent the last nine months creating dodgeball rules and put 10 balls through tests to determine which one to use.
