BBDO, Stan & Lou Are the Best

BBDO and Stan & Lou Advertising took top honors at the Houston Advertising Federation’s Addy awards this past weekend.

BBDO in Houston won best of show in the broadcast category for “You’re It,” a 30-second television spot for Texaco Xpress Lube. The hilarious vignette shows two me-chanics goofing off in a service station, inanely putting toothpicks up their noses and making lunch boxes “talk.” The spot concludes with the tagline, “It’s 15-point service … from people who can count that high.”

Stan & Lou was awarded best of show in the print category for a body of work including collateral, magazine and newspaper ads on behalf of client Boaka Bar.

Gold awards went to Rives Carlberg for Reliant Park (trade print), J.
