Time Inc.’s Southern Progress Corp., the company’s home and lifestyle subsidiary, has announced the launch of a food portal, MyRecipes.com.

The company publishes Cooking Light, Southern Living, Sunset, Cottage Living and Costal Living magazines. MyRecipes offers more than 25,000 kitchen-tested recipes, step-by-step instructions, how-to videos, and tips on healthy cuisine and entertaining.

All recipes on MyRecipes.com are tested by food professionals. The company’s test kitchens are designed to replicate home kitchens and the recipes feature ingredients available at local markets.

Southern Progress’ national brands reach more than 35 million people each month. The company has also announced the formation of a new digital division, SPC Digital, whose primary function will be to bring the company’s brands together in new online venues.

“MyRecipes.com is home to Southern Progress Corp.’s vast array of high-quality food and entertaining content, featuring thousands of healthy, quick and delicious solutions. It will also enable our established audiences to interact and share,” says Michael Gutkowski, senior vice president of SPC Digital.

Later this summer, the site plans to offer new and original video content produced in its digital studios in the company’s Birmingham, Ala., headquarters.
