Ikea Solicits Proposals from 20
Retailer Ikea says it is looking for an agency that is “unconventional” and “cost-conscious.” In an RFP sent out last week for its $40 million account, the Plymouth Meeting, Pa., company also says it would
prefer a shop that’s close to home.

Cramer-Krasselt concludes a year-long search for a No. 2 creative with the hire of Scott Wild from TBWA\Chiat\Day. Wild, who will be the shop’s only group
creative director, has worked on campaigns for Adidas, Fox Sports and the launch of Sony’s Playstation 2.

STICKER SHOCK
Hyundai Motor Co.’s decision to review its $450 million media account surprised executives at the automaker’s lead U.S. agency, Bates USA West, according to sources. The search, which is taking place at Hyundai’s South Korean headquarters, may be a prelude to a creative shift.
