Omnicom Taps Turner's Uva for OMD

LOS ANGELES — Omnicom has hired a veteran seller Joe Uva to become president and worldwide CEO of OMD, sources said.
Uva, who is president of Turner Entertainment Group Sales will take the helm of the $19 billion-in-billings network in January. The position has been vacant for more than a year when previous leader Daryl Simm moved to OMG, the umbrella company that houses Omnicom’s media agency operations. Uva has been at Turner since 1984 when he started as vp-sales, CNN.
