A yodeling catfish tempts viewers to try Furr’s restaurants in new advertising from The Loomis Agency.

Using animation and the vocal talent of world yodeling champion David Bradley of Branson, Mo., a wall-mounted catfish performs for a few seconds before a voiceover queries, “Had enough?”

The television spot goes on to claim “you can’t ever have too much of our delicious catfish” during Furr’s Family Dining’s all-you-can-eat catfish promotion.

“We wanted to do something original in the category to capture some attention and make our customers smile,” said Mike Sullivan, executive creative director of the Dallas agency.

The fish stars in two TV commercials and a radio spot now running in five markets in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.

Furr’s Family Dining engaged The Loomis Agency earlier this year after what a client representative called “a mutual parting of ways” with its agency of several years, Levenson & Hill in Dallas.
