AT&T pay phones with high-speed Internet connections and e-mail capability rolled out Monday at airports in New York, Atlanta and Dallas. The AT&T Public Phone 2000i costs 25 cents per minute with a four-minute minimum and accepts credit cards or cash. The phones have a 12-inch screen and a touch pad in the keyboard and have been beta-tested at some airports for the last seven months.

The company sells ad space on the video screens. Based on usage so far, AT&T reps said the company has found the advertising to be effective in reaching business travelers.
