Jerry Shapiro has joined EMI Strategic Marketing as executive creative director.

In this newly minted position, Shapiro will run the creative department of the Boston agency and work closely with recently hired creative director Dan Nearing on various assignments. Shapiro reports to EMI president and CEO Campbell Edlund, who founded the company in 1989.

Shapiro was introduced to EMI by Judy Cohen, a former co-worker, who serves as vice president, managing director at the 40-person shop.
