Making yet another imprint in Japan, Mountain View, Calif.-based search services provider Google announced on Monday that it has partnered with NIFTY Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of Fujitsu Limited. Google’s search capabilities will now be available to users of the @nifty Internet access service, as well as the @nifty Web site.
Google’s additional partnerships in the Japanese market include Yahoo! Japan, NEC BIGLOBE and About.com-Japan. A wireless version of the search engine is also currently available via NTT DoCoMo Internet-ready i-mode phones.
