Want The Lights to Blink When You're Mentioned on #Twitter? Now You Can (And More) With #IFTTT
IFTTT (which is short for “IF This Then That”, and is pronounced like “Gift”, without the “G”) is a super-useful web-based service that lets users aggregate content from a number of different web applications to create simple conditional statements known as “Recipes”.
These Recipes perform a set of actions (known as “triggers”) that you decide based on select criteria. For example, you could configure a Recipe on IFTTT to automatically post the same update to your Facebook Page when you use a specific hashtag on Twitter.
Simple stuff, really.
