20% of Young Shoppers in the UK Have Purchased Through Facebook (9% via Twitter) [STUDY]
15-24 year-olds in the United Kingdom will spend £5.7 billion online in 2014, with almost three in 10 having purchased a product through social media, reveals a new study.
Verdict polled young shoppers throughout the UK and found that they are far more engaged with social media than their older counterparts, with 20 percent having purchased a product by clicking through Facebook and 9 percent having done so through Twitter.
The survey also found that 15-24 year-olds often act impulsively, with one in seven purchases made without any research, and are twice as likely to shop on-the-go with a mobile device.
