JARKARTA – DDB Needham Worldwide’s Singapore office has won the $20 million-plus Garuda Indonesia airline account, ending the carrier’s 13-year relationship with Foote, Cone & Belding’s office in Sydney. DDB Needham, which bested the Singapore offices of Lintas, J. Walter Thompson and Dentsu, Young & Rubicam and the incumbent in a review, will work with Jakarta agency Fortune, on the business. Fortune will take a minority interest in the Singapore office of DDB. However, DDB Needham’s regional managing director for Asia, Geoff Brown, would not comment on the magnitude of that interest.
