Supervalu Shops Around For Agency To Handle Branding

CHICAGO – SuperValu, the Minneapolis-based supermarket operator whose subsidiaries include the Cub Foods chain, is quietly contacting agencies about a branding project, sources said.
The $3-5 million project would include mostly TV work. Cricklewood Marketing Communications in Minnetonka, Minn., is handling the review, sources said.
Neither Cricklewood nor SuperValu could be reached for comment. The company has no advertising agency of record, and instead works with several shops on a project basis.
