Cedars-Sinai Medical System has begun a mandated review of Southern California shops for its ad account. Billings are less than $1 million.
According to Ted Fong, the Los Angeles health facility’s marketing communications manager, the client is compiling a list of approximately 20 contenders. Incumbent EvansGroup in Los Angeles, which has handled the account for almost 20 years, will defend the business, said Fong, who previously worked for the agency. Although size is not a consideration, Fong said, contenders must possess both creative and media capabilities. A decision is expected by late June or early July.
Previous efforts for the medical client have consisted of print and radio ads. –Teresa Buyikian
