The National Council for Skill Standards in Graphic Communications continues to expand its repertoire of national certification examinations. In late 1997, the Council introduced its first certification exams for flexo and litho (multicolor) press operators. Since then, more than 250 press operators have become certified. The press check-ups continue in 2001; exams are scheduled for May 24, June 28, August 23 and November 15.
The Digital Imaging Operator’s Certification Examination is the latest test. It’s expected to be available this summer online as well as through local testing centers.
