Metzdorf Continues TV Craft for Creamery
DALLAS–Blue Bell Ice Cream launches a new television campaign this week with a spot developed by longtime advertising associate Lyle Metzdorf.
Titled “Bad Day,” the ad shows a farmer cutting himself shaving, getting chased by a bull and being struck by lightning, among other disasters, before sitting down to a bowl of Blue Bell. When his wife asks him how his day went, he replies, “It ended good.”
“Bad Day” is the latest installment of country-themed advertisements developed by Metzdorf, whose Metzdorf Advertising was once the third-largest agency in Houston before its sale to the Interpublic Group of Cos.
