CHICAGO–Sara Lee has winnowed the list of contenders vying for its $80 million domestic national broadcast and print buying account, sources said. Surviving the cut: Grey Advertising’s MediaCom, New York; incumbent Ammirati Puris Lintas, also New York, pitching with Western International Media, Los Angeles; and DDB Needham’s Optimum Media unit in New York.

McCann Snares $25 Mil. From SmithKline
NEW YORK–McCann-Erickson here was awarded the estimated $25 million ad account for the direct-to-consumer anti-depression drug Paxil from SmithKline Beecham following a review, sources said.
