NEW YORK Owen Dougherty joined Grey Advertising, New York, as senior vice president, director of corporate affairs. He oversees worldwide media relations and communications. Dougherty was senior vice president, corporate communications at BBDO Worldwide, also New York. Mary King has joined Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/ Euro RSCG , New York, as creative manager. She held the same post at Wieden & Kennedy, Portland, Ore. Amy Rose was named to the newly created position of director, human resources at Cohn & Wolfe in New York. Rose joins the agency from Young & Rubicam, Cohn & Wolfe's parent company, where she was human resources manager. Mark Russell & Associates in Syracuse promoted Kristin Mullican to senior designer. The agency also hired Jennifer Whalen as a media buyer and Jane Rosick as a media assistant. Whalen comes to the agency from Allied Advertising, where she was an accounts manager and media buyer working with film studios such as Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount and Universal. Rosick comes from JD Consulting Group, where she was an executive administrator. Dario Spina was appointed account supervisor at Griffin Bacal, New York. He comes from DDB Needham, New York, where he was an events and publicity specialist on the New York State Lottery business. Don Jagoda Associates in Melville reported several personnel appointments and one new hire: account director Barbara LaChant was promoted to vice president, Walter Malskis has advanced to director of information technology and Craig Moser was elevated to the position of account director. Suzanne Gulbransen also joined the agency as account director; she had been a marketing promotions specialist at Ocean Spray Cranberries. Eric Mower and Associates, Syracuse, named Pete VonDerLinn creative director. He will be responsible for strategic planning, concept development and creative execution for clients such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Eastman Kodak. NEW JERSEY Linda Robak has been appointed vice president, account director at GWP in Bridgewater. She comes from Frankel in Chicago, where she was an account supervisor. Adient, a division of CommonHealth in Parsippany, has added three account managers: James Perry joins the agency from ProCom International; Barbara Jackson comes from Prudential Healthcare; and Micaela McLaughlin rejoins Adient, where she had served as a traffic coordinator. PENNSYLVANIA The Weightman Group, Philadelphia, added Cheri Cutler as director, public relations and Michelle Peranteau as public relations manager. Cutler comes from The Shops At The Bellevue, where she was director of marketing. Peranteau was an account executive at Earle Palmer Brown.
