Builder Newport National Communities selected Hayes Martin Associates/Costa Mesa, Calif., to provide advertising and pr for Ridge Crest, a neighborhood in San Juan Capistrano.
Morgan Marketing and Public Relations in Tustin was awarded the pr account for Winchell’s donut and coffee shops.
Armor All Products Corp., Irvine-based makers of car appearance products, selected Kennedy & Kennedy/Irvine to handle pr.
Leone & Leone/San Juan Capistrano was selected to handle pr and marketing for Turtle Island, a privately owned South Pacific resort.
Conaway & Associates/Orange was retained by Hibino Audio Visual USA, a marketer of audiovisual equipment based in Irvine. Conaway will develop and implement a pr program and manage special events.
Turner Video Communications named Coombe & Pedigo/Newport Beach to market and promote its video lines.
North Hollywood-based Owl Software selected Les Goldberg Public Relations in Santa Ana to help promote its software products for home and small business users.
Forsythe Marcelli Johnson/Newport Beach was named agency of record for Watson Pharmaceuticals, Corona.
COLORADO
J&J Consulting/Castle Rock was retained by the U.S. Fencing Association to develop a 1993 membership marketing plan. The fencing group is a U.S. Olympic Committee national governing body located in Colorado Springs.
In Denver, McClain Finlon Advertising and Burks, Romero & Esposito formed an alliance that won the shops an agency of record assignment from the Regional Transportation District.
Barnhart Advertising/Denver was selected by Cellular One/Colorado to develop a multimedia ad campaign.
ARIZONA
Cramer-Krasselt/Phoenix was awarded a pr and corporate communications account for GO-Video, a Scottsdale marketer of electronic equipment. The agency also added National Inventory Exchange, a Phoenix-based computer parts distributor, and CMD Southwest, Phoenix, a division of Chicago-based CMD Corp., a real estate development company.
INFO Enterprises selected Onderdonk Haynes/Scottsdale to handle marketing and pr. The agency, which also has offices in Newport Beach, Calif., will provide counseling on positioning and tactical pr support for the firm.
E.B. Lane & Associates/Phoenix was awarded the ad, pr and promotional account for Video Powerstore, a Phoenix-area chain of 23 video rental stores.
After a review that included more than seven ad agencies, the Autoplex in Tempe awarded its ad account to Riester Corp./Tempe. Some six auto dealers are currently operating out of the Autoplex, which was designed to house up to 20 dealerships.
Lavidge Hiegel Communications/Scottsdale was named agency of record for Poore Brothers Foods, Phoenix.
