BOSTON–The sale of Agnew, Carter, McCarthy to Manning, Selvage & Lee creates one of the largest full-service public relations shops in the region.
New York-based MS&L, which is owned by The MacManus Group, bought the 20-year-old Boston firm last week from principal owners Jack Agnew, Lew Carter and Terry McCarthy. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
McCarthy retired about a year ago; both Carter, 58, and Agnew, 64, have committed to short-term employment contracts, said Carter, who will serve as managing director.
