Jenny Craig Picks Final 4

LOS ANGELES—Jenny Craig has selected four finalists in its creative review: Campbell-Ewald and incumbent Suissa Miller, both Los Angeles, Doner, Newport Beach, Calif., and Siltanen/Keehn, Santa Monica, Calif. Final presentations are set for the week of Oct. 16, with a decision expected by the end of the month. Carat, Los Angeles, handles the client’s estimated $25 million media account.

Ground Zero Establishes Office in New York

LOS ANGELES—Ground Zero, a creative darling of the West Coast, is opening an office in New York. The East Coast operation will be headed by agency principal Andrew Gledhill. The shop recruited Tyler Whisnand as its first creative partner at the new office. Whisnand, who worked as a freelance creative before joining the shop, is best-known for his work for Amsterdam, Netherlands, ad agency Kessels-Kramer. Ground Zero, Marina del Rey, Calif., handles such accounts as ESPN and The Los Angeles Times. Its estimated billings are $100 million.

Replay TV Narrows Search

NEW YORK—ReplayTV narrowed the list of finalists for its $25 million account to three San Francisco shops: Leagas Delaney, GMO/Hill, Holliday and J. Walter Thompson. Buzz Kaplan, evp of sales and marketing for the digital video recorder maker, said the three will pitch Oct. 27 and he will decide on one in early November. Replay put its account in play in August. Publicis & Hal Riney, San Francisco, was the incumbent. The winning shop will handle a campaign breaking next spring for the release of Replay’s 4.0 software. Replay plans to run two TV spots from Riney for the rest of the year. The Mountain View, Calif., company also contracted Frankel & Co., a San Francisco promotions agency, for a one-off spot that aired during the Olympics.

Washington State Lottery Seeks Shop

LOS ANGELES—The Washington State Lottery is sending out requests for proposals for a shop to handle its estimated $5-6 million account. Publicis, Seattle, is the incumbent. About 20 agencies around the country—including shops that expressed interest the last time the account went into review three years ago—were invited to download the RFP when it is posted on the state’s Web site within a week. The agency that wins the business will be required to have or establish an office within 75 miles of Olympia, the state capital. The first round of the review will conclude in mid-November.

DGWB Lands Toshiba Division

LOS ANGELES—DGWB Advertising, Irvine Calif., was tapped by Toshiba’s Electronic Imaging Division to create a national branding campaign. The estimated $10 million effort is expected to launch before the end of the year. Also located in Irvine, the division sells copiers, faxes and multifunction printing products.

New Del Taco Work Is the Cheese

LOS ANGELES—G&M Plumbing, Santa Monica, Calif., is launching new work for Del Taco, Laguna Hills, Calif., featuring none other than an actual cow to promote the fast-food chain’s use of real cheese in its products.
