NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Pentagram Design in San Francisco has been hired to develop a new corporate identity package and logo for Seattle-based Muzak. Your Choice TV has chosen Phoenix Editorial in San Francisco to create the digital cable television service's first two TV spots. Glodow Coats & Nead in San Francisco was named to handle public relations and publicity activities for Virgin Cola Co. and the launch of Virgin Cola in the U.S. The Discovery Channel has signed a licensing agreement with San Jose-based Tam Communications for a one-hour documentary portraying the lives of ambulance paramedics. FCB HealthCare, a division of Foote, Cone & Belding Communications in San Francisco, was awarded ad responsibilities for the launch of Glaxo Wellcome's new antiviral flu therapy. Don Middleberg, head of Middleberg Associates in New York, and Lydia Graham, formerly head of Graham & Associates in San Francisco, have launched Middleberg-Graham. The new agency will have offices in New York, San Francisco and Boston. OREGON Pacific Coast Restaurants selected JohnsonSheen Advertising in Portland as agency of record for its Newport Bay and Stanford's restaurant chains. The Ralston Group, a Bend-based advertising agency, completed a variety of print advertising and managed public relations projects for Sunriver Resort supporting the grand opening of the recently remodeled lodge. HMH Advertising and Public Relations in Portland was selected by the Downtown Vancouver Association to provide technical assistance for marketing and promotions planning. HMH vice president Marian Massey will supervise the project. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA The Gable Group in San Diego was hired to develop national public relations campaigns for Hardage Suite Hotels and for the National Association of Insurance Women, International. The Omni Los Angeles Hotel & Centre has chosen Conlon/Schwartz in Los Angeles as agency of record for its estimated $1 million account, after a statewide review. Mustang Marketing and Advertising in Agoura Hills was chosen to produce a logo and identity package, in-store signage and merchandising displays for Wireless Choices From Prime Matrix in Calabasas. Silverado Senior Living hired San Diego-based Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger to serve as a public affairs consultant for the San Diego area. Lorenz Advertising & Design in San Diego was hired to create new corporate identity packages for two new clients: Insider Software and Patterson Consulting. The shop was also retained by Holland-based seed distributor Enza Zaden to craft an international advertising campaign. Save Our Future, a nonprofit organization devoted to fighting crime in the city of Los Angeles, has chosen Ruben/Rottman & Co. to handle promotional services for its first Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. Napa Valley wine producer Sutter Home selected Haley Miranda Group in Culver City to be the promotional agency for its Soleo wine brand. Novocom in Los Angeles produced the main open, numerous bumpers, talent billboards and graphic intercuts for The Howie Mandel Show, a new show from Paramount Domestic Television.
