Acquires Another Local Advertising Agency
NEW ORLEANS–Gallinghouse Group has been acquired by Kupper Parker/Fitzgerald here, adding some $3 million in billings to the $12 million agency.
Gallinghouse principal Van Gallinghouse and two account staffers–Gigi Brooks and Mary Kate Lo Conte–bring the KPF work force to 13.
KPF gains the following clients in the acquisition: Omni Bank, Com-puter Associates of New York, Louisiana Council on Child Abuse, Louisiana Superdome, Sterling Properties and the state-sponsored Partners for Healthy Babies’ prenatal awareness campaign.
Van Gallinghouse will concentrate on new business development and servicing accounts, according to KPF president Ron Thompson.
“Van is a young sales marketer with lots of experience in healthcare, which we see as a growth industry,” Thompson said.
“This alignment means a lot to me personally and from a professional standpoint. I can now compete on a level I was not able to in the past,” said Gallinghouse, a past president of the New Orleans Ad Club.
“Running a small shop meant wearing many hats and now I can concentrate more on business development and managing my accounts,” Gallinghouse added. “My goal is to position KPF as the agency to watch and to be highly competitive on a regional level.”
Kupper Parker/Fitzgerald was formed in August when Kupper Parker Communications, St. Louis, acquired New Orleans’ Fitzgerald Advertising, the city’s oldest agency. The Gallinghouse acquisition coincides with KPF’s recent $3-5 million B&G Foods win.
