Clarke Goward has won ad duties for 12-branch Woronoco Savings Bank in Westfield, Mass.
The Boston shop beat out undisclosed contenders in a review. Darby O’Brien in South Hadley, Mass., had handled the account, estimated at slightly less than $1 million. Darby resigned Woronoco after picking up potential conflict Monson Savings Bank in Monson, Mass.
Robert Thomas, Woronoco’s vice president of marketing, said the client sought a new shop largely because of a shift in focus from product-specific ads to broader image campaigns, which it hopes to launch in the spring and fall. “We wanted a full-service agency that could grow with us,” he said.
