Ed Eskandarian already has one agency with “Ingalls” in its title. So what would the chairman and chief executive officer of Arnold Communications want with another?
That was the question on some minds last week after Eskandarian was spotted having breakfast with Bink Garrison, chairman of Boston-based Ingalls.
However, the very public venue–the cafe at the Ritz-Carlton in Boston–was a dead giveaway that such a deal was not on the table. Turns out Eskandarian and Garrison met to talk about the Central Artery Business Committee.
At least that was the official line from Garrison last week.
Years ago Eskandarian, who chaired a marketing subcommittee on what is billed as the largest public works project in the country, passed the baton to Garrison, who accepted thinking it might help raise his profile in the local business community.
Now, many committee meetings later, Garrison said the assignment has not exactly turned out as he had hoped but that it does provide a common meeting ground for the two ad men. –Judy Warner
