LOS ANGELES-Financially troubled global graphics software firm Micrografx has discharged interactive agency Think New Ideas as a cost-saving measure, said Think president Larry Kopald.
The Richardson, Texas-based company, which hired Think’s Los Angeles office seven months ago to develop and integrate a global marketing and communications program, is not expected to look for another agency. Billings were about $1 million last year, down more than half from 1997, according to Competitive Media Reporting. Client executives could not be reached at press time.
Micrografx is months behind schedule on introducing a new line of products, sources said. Think is moving staffers who worked on Micrografx to other accounts.
