Sony to Shift Information Technologies to Y&R
NEW YORK–Sony’s Information Technologies division is expected to shift its estimated $15 million ad account to Young & Rubicam, San Francisco, from Citron Haligman Bedcarrƒ, San Francisco, sources said. The division markets personal computers that interface with video and audio equipment. The shift comes two months after Y&R landed Sony’s $60 million U.S. electronics account, and was expected [Adweek, Oct. 12]. Executives at Citron said they had not been notified of a change in their status and were working on a new round of print ads for Sony’s computer products.
