The last remaining flicker of light from the cryptocurrency flame ignited by Facebook and inherited by Meta will be extinguished Sept. 1.

The company revealed on the website for its Novi digital wallet that Novi will no longer be available for use after Sept. 1, and that users should withdraw any remaining balance prior to that date.

Novi said people in Guatemala and the U.S. can transfer their balances to their bank accounts, while those in Guatemala also have the option of withdrawing cash from a location in Guatemala City.

Users can go to the Novi application settings to download a copy of their transactions and activity, and they must do so before Sept.
