Adriel Frederick joined Reddit as vice president of product for Reddit X, the platform’s team that focuses on “bold bets” and new features such as audio, blockchain, chat and premium offerings.

Frederick brings more than 15 years of experience in financial technology, social media and marketplaces, and he will report directly to chief product officer Pali Bhat.

He comes to Reddit from Lyft, where he served as director of product management for marketplace, leading the product teams that worked on driver incentives, matching, pricing and revenue operations.

Prior to that, Frederick led user acquisition efforts at Facebook, helping the social network top 1 billion monthly active users.
