Live Nation Urban Aims to Hire More Black Women Photographers in New Initiative

A partnership with BWP draws attention to a lack of diversity in event photography

Leaders from Glossier, Shopify, Mastercard and more will take the stage at Brandweek to share what strategies set them apart and how they incorporate the most valued emerging trends. Register to join us this September 23–26 in Phoenix, Arizona.

While there are many ways to celebrate Women’s History Month, creating job opportunities for women and non-binary creatives in classically male-dominated fields is one way to not only honor the month with intention, but also set the stage for real inclusion. For entertainment industries, one important step forward is hiring more Black women behind the camera.

Live Nation Entertainment’s hip-hop, R&B and gospel-focused branch Live Nation Urban teamed up with Black Women Photographers (BWP) to open applications for official event photographers, with a specific call for Black women and non-binary participants.
