Tumblr users can now pay $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year for an ad-free browsing experience.
The annual fee is equivalent to a 33% discount, or four free months, and while third-party ads are hidden, sponsored posts from other Tumblr users are not.
Users who are interested can go to their account setting and tap Go Ad-Free, at which point they can choose between the monthly and yearly plans.
Setup must be done via desktop, but once activated, it applies to mobile, as well.
