Curated content platform Flipboard detailed several updates to its email newsletter offerings Thursday.
Flipboard said in a blog post Thursday, “I was invented in 1978. First widely used within universities in the early 1990s. Over 300 billion of me are delivered every day. What am I? If you guessed email, you get a point.”
Email newsletters from the platform are now available to everyone, whether or not they have a Flipboard account. People can sign up to subscribe here.
Those newsletter offerings had only been available to Flipboard users who had set up accounts and followed certain topics, and director of newsletter and content partnerships Andrew Zalk told Adweek the changes make Flipboard “omnichannel and open to wider audiences,” adding that all of the platform’s newsletters underwent a redesign to make them “up to date, super cohesive and accessible to all readers.”
