Creative Agency Madwell and Visible Say In-Person Events Are In Demand

Virtual events were an acceptable substitute during the lockdown, but real-life experiences are making a comeback

Leaders from Glossier, Shopify, Mastercard and more will take the stage at Brandweek to share what strategies set them apart and how they incorporate the most valued emerging trends. Register to join us this September 23–26 in Phoenix, Arizona.

The pandemic may have paused in-person events, but it didn’t stop communities from gathering—they just took their experiences online.

That’s how the creative agency Madwell and Visible, the Denver-based digital wireless carrier owned by Verizon, pivoted to produce Red Rocks Unpaused, a free, three-day concert series at Colorado’s famed, outdoor venue last fall.

“The idea was to make the event as interactive as possible even though it was a pandemic,” Chris Sojka, co-founder and chief creative officer at Madwell, said during Adweek at Home’s panel Driving Consumers and Brand Awareness Through Interactive Experiences.
