Nextdoor to Warn Users About to Share Potentially Racist Comments, Posts

Neighborhood social network Nextdoor introduced a feature to keep exchanges on its platform neighborly when it comes to racism.

When a user is about to share a post or comment containing language that could be discriminatory to people of color—such as “All Lives Matter” or “Blue Lives Matter”—they will see a prompt urging them to consider editing that post or comment before it goes live.

The anti-racism notification is rolling out this week on Android, iOS and the web.
