Snap Inc. Wednesday introduced several new tools and resources to give Snapchatters more control over and context on the ads they see on the platform.

By default, the Snapchat application allows advertisers and other partners to show ads to users based on information that they collect from other websites and services. Snapchatters who wish to change this can adjust their Ad Preferences in the App Settings menu.

Snapchatters can opt out of seeing ads on topics that might be sensitive, like alcohol or politics, and gambling will soon be added to this list, as well.

Ads can also be reported if Snapchatters dislike the content or find it to be fraudulent or concerning.
