Iconic Activision Blizzard game franchise Call of Duty took its title seriously when it came to helping veterans find meaningful employment at the conclusion of their military service.
Over the past 12 years, the Call of Duty Endowment initiative has helped more than 100,000 veterans find meaningful careers, reaching that goal two years ahead of schedule, by partnering with nonprofit veterans organizations in the U.K. and U.S. on low-cost, high-value job placement.
Activision Blizzard is marking that achievement with the first-ever charity race inside of a video game, Call of Duty Veteruns, which will challenge Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific players to run 100 virtual kilometers and earn in-game rewards from May 26 through June 3, helping to allocate a $1 million donation from the game developer to the endowment.
