Vice Media is expanding its cable TV channel Viceland. The publisher has announced a deal with France’s Canal Group to bring Viceland to Canalsat customers when it launches this fall.
Viceland debuted nationwide in February and will launch in the U.K. in a few months. The France outlet will be the first non-English version of Viceland.
“We’ve been growing our production in France for the past several years preparing for a day like this — the chance to enter the French market with a 24 hour lifestyle channel which prominently features domestic production,” said Vice chief creative officer and Viceland co-president Eddy Moretti, in a statement.
