The FAS-FAX Numbers: Only WSJ Is Up
The Audit Bureau of Circulations released its report on the state of the newspaper industry, and again, it ain’t pretty.
First, the good news: the number of newspapers publishing e-editions nearly doubled, and the combined circulation of all those electronic papers was up 47 percent, to 2,314,815.
The WSJ led the way with a 449,000 circulation e-edition, followed by the Detroit Free Press at 99,600 and the NYT at 71,697.
On the print side, the WSJ again topped the chart with a print circulation of 2,061,142, up 1.82
