Media Beat: Morgan Spurlock: From Super Size Me to Freakonomics

Did we tell you we’d get big names or what? Media Beat is extremely honored and humbled to have filmmaker Morgan Spurlock in our latest episode. Not only is the West Virginia native funny and colorful, but he was gracious enough to stop by our studio while in the midst of finishing up the 20th anniversary special for The Simpsons.

In this first installment, Spurlock praises Michael Moore’s sense of humor, talks about bringing the book Freakonomics to the big screen, and recounts the making of Super Size Me. “I read more law in the course of making this film than a criminal would,” he said of his breakout hit.
