Sometimes, the best way to convey Mother Nature’s devastation is to simply quote from those affected by it.
In Lousiana, today’s front page for Lafayette’s The Daily Advertiser features a quote from Will Mitchell, a father who had to rescue his son. Mitchell shares a number of other astute observations as well.
Meanwhile, on the front page of the Times-Picayune, the dreaded K-word. Spoken by Anniebell McPipe, an apartment dweller in Baton Rouge who told the paper flood waters rose to waist-level just five minutes after first beginning to come through her front door.
Finally, the Shreveport Times went with the cautionary words of Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards.
