Apple Tops Consumer Satisfaction Index for Eighth Year in a Row

The American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) released its annual survey of consumer satisfaction for PC makers yesterday, and Apple claimed the top spot—for the eighth year in a row.
For 2011, Apple received its highest score ever, 87 points out of a possible 100. (That’s one point higher than Apple’s score of 86 last year.) Its closest competition was HP, which lagged 9 points behind. The industry average stayed flat from the previous year at 78 points.
