According to a new post at the USC Annenberg’s Reporting on Health blog, even a well-known writer like Loewenberg, who’s been awarded prestigious fellowships and placed stories in the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, The Atlantic, and more, struggles to place stories in American media.
His solution: a numbers game. “If you search the subject headings of his emails for ‘proposal,’ you’ll get 1,000 hits, he explains.”
