Photographer's chronicle of a trip with his mother nabs 2015 Wilbur Award.
Among the things we learned from perusing “Journey to the Clouds,” announced today as a 2015 Wilbur Award winner by the Religious Communications Council:
– Boys in Tibet can take their novice monk vows starting at the age of seven;
– There is a hotel in Upper Mustang called Mona Lisa Smile;
– Cell phone towers and good reception are both in abundant supply.
The photos were taken by Mendocino, California based photographer Nile Sprague last year during a 24-day trip with his mother to the Annapurna Circuit and Upper Mustang regions of Nepal. Other
