Exceptional Women in Publishing has announced that the recipient of its thirteenth annual EWIP Award will be Laurel Touby, founder of the publishing career advancement website mediabistro.com.

“When Laurel Touby launched mediabistro.com she changed the way people in the media industry did business, connect and communicate with their peers. Mediabistro.com has grown to become the go-to site for professionals working in media, with 1.2 million registered members,” notes a press release. Touby sold mediabistro.com to WebMediaBrands in 2007 for $23 million.
