Facebook detailed two updates to its developer policies.

A change related to Facebook Login requires all applications—hybrid, mobile and web—that use the manual Facebook Login flow to check the validity of the session every 24 hours and log users out if it is not valid.

Product marketing director, developer platform Kelly Stonelake explained in a blog post, “Routine checks for valid sessions help to mitigate the risk of account compromise and also increase user safety across all platforms.”

The other new policy requires developers to ensure that their apps are listed on at least one of Facebook’s supported Android and iOS app stores, which they must do by Sept.
