Heading up the list of winners were Texas Monthly, Portland Monthly and Memphis magazines, which won general excellence awards in their circulation categories.

Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Texas Monthly magazines each captured five awards, including Texas Monthly‘s winning the Civic Journalism Award for Pamela Colloff’s “Innocence Lost,” which led to the release of wrongfully convicted murderer Anthony Graves.
