By default, the BeReal application will send users a variety of notifications related to activity within the app. For instance, the app will notify users when they receive a friend request or when someone leaves a comment on their BeReal post.

Users have the option to turn off certain notification types from within the BeReal mobile app. Our guide will show you how this is done.

Note: These screenshots were captured in the BeReal app on iOS. Also note, if you want to turn off BeReal’s daily notification that encourages you to share a post within the next two minutes, you will need to turn off the app’s notifications in your device’s settings.

Step 1: On BeReal’s “Friends” tab, tap your profile picture in the top-right corner of the screen.
