Michael Schneider Exiting TV Guide Magazine
After five years, the veteran TV editor and executive is moving on.
When Michael Schneider left Variety in 2011 for TV Guide, the Hollywood trades horizon was stormy. Variety was struggling with a paywall; The Hollywood Reporter had recently relaunched from daily to weekly; Deadline was ruling the breaking-news roost thanks to Nikki Finke; and TheWrap was finding its legs.
Will Schneider, who comments on public radio station KCRW-FM and maintains a well-liked personal blog, Franklin Avenue, return to that fold? TBD. But effective March 31, he will close out his time as chief content officer of TV Guide Magazine.
